From the moment they picked us up at the Port, to their attention to detail in ensuring our comfort, they truly exceeded our expectations. Our room was spacious and immaculate, with all the amenities we needed including AC, WiFi, and easy access to lights. The four poster bed and mattress were superb, and the balcony offered a stunning view of the Portara and sea. The hotel's garden entrance was also beautiful. The breakfast buffet was delicious, featuring a variety of Greek delicacies and local produce. The location of the hotel was perfect, just a short walk to the port, venetian castle, Portara, and the beach. We loved exploring the nearby alleyways with their charming restaurants, markets, and shops. The daily room service was a wonderful touch, keeping our room clean and providing fresh towels and bed linen. this hotel is a hidden gem, run by friendly and attentive people who truly care about their guests. I absolutely loved the charming decor of Hotel Anixis, especially in the public areas. The cozy lounge with its beautiful antique furniture and soft lighting created a warm and inviting atmosphere. It felt like stepping back in time and added a touch of elegance to my stay. Moreover, I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's accessibility for senior people. Despite the uphill climb to reach the hotel, the staff kindly arranged for a van to pick me up from the port. This made my arrival much easier and more comfortable.
If I had to suggest one improvement for a better vacation experience for senior people, it would be to have some assistance available for carrying luggage up the steep hill to the hotel. Although the children working there were quite helpful in carrying my bags down when we encountered a punctured van tire during my departure, it would have been even better to have assistance both ways.
